Today was a good day. I got a lot of miles in, and found a superb campsite with good company—the Owensboro Cross Country team. I rode into the park (Vastwood Park in Hawesville) & asked a group of campers if there were specific camping spots. We got to talking, and they offered me dinner & a campsite with them—both of which were much appreciated. I ate my fill—a hot dog & three hamburgers—and sat around talking with some of the parents for a while. Now it's late, and getting time for me to go to sleep.
(Also—family whose backyard I camped in last night were Purdue grads.)
